- A Million People Hate Him for Wanting to Leave
- Chapter 29, part 2 - A very happy family watching Little Soybean!
Turning his chair towards the computer again, Song Yunhui scrolled through his contacts list for a while before finally finding the phone number for the person at the publishing company that he’d saved before.
He turned the computer back on and dialed the number.
The call was quickly picked up, and the other side’s attitude was very good.
He asked a few questions, and the other person answered them one by one. Then, they said it’d be done as soon as possible, and that the ISRC application had already been done.
Once the ISRC application is filed, the rest is done very fast.
After saying “thank you”, Song Yunhui hung up the phone.
He hummed a song while opening the folder he had sorted before, feeling inexplicably good.

Qin Shu came back in the afternoon.
Wearing pajamas and with no plans on changing clothes, Song Yunhui had some time to rest and sit in the living room, watching TV with Orange in his arms.
This time, he watched another animated movie, and he was very enthusiastic about it. It wasn’t until he heard footsteps coming from behind that he realized that Qin Shu had returned.
The little Young Master turned around, nodded, and said, “You’re back.”
The room was heated. Qin Shu took off his coat and scarf and hung them on the shelf. Then, he handed the box in his hand to Song Yunhui and said, “The volunteers at the film exhibit said that the cakes from this store are delicious, so I bought you a few pieces.”
He added, “It’s getting late. You should eat something first to fill your stomach, but don’t eat too much. I’ll start cooking right away.”
Song Yunhui nodded repeatedly and happily opened the box.
Qin Shu smiled and rolled up his sleeves.
He’d become more and more proficient in wearing an apron recently.
When the kitchen lights are turned on and the sounds of pots and pans can be heard, a house finally looks like a home.
The sound of TV came from the living room. Qin Shu opened the refrigerator and took out the ingredients. Then, he cut them up piece by piece and washed them carefully by the sink.
At first, only a spot of green plush appeared in his field of vision. Then, a spoon popped up.
Song Yunhui had walked up to him at some point. One side of his cheeks bulged, obviously still munching on the cake in his mouth.
He picked up a spoonful of cake and put it up to Qin Shu’s mouth. He seemed to want to say something, but he hadn’t swallowed the cake yet, so he could only signal with his eyes.
His eyes were very sincere.
Qin Shu understood what he meant.
He was right to buy the cake.
Seeing that Qin Shu didn’t move, Song Yunhui pushed the spoon forward again.
Qin Shu lowered his head and took a bite of the cake.
Soft and full of a milky flavor, with just the right amount of cream.
Song Yunhui finally swallowed the cake in his mouth and said, “It’s really delicious.”
Qin Shu nodded.
After stuffing him with another bite of cake, Song Yunhui put the rest of the cake out of Orange’s reach. Then, he rolled up his sleeves and stood beside Qin Shu in a dignified manner. After washing his hands, he helped wash the vegetables.
Qin Shu was always very meticulous when doing anything, and that included cooking.
After watching for a long period, Song Yunhui found that the other party usually washed the dishes at least twice, and he wouldn’t stop until he was fully satisfied.
Song Yunhui didn’t think it could be comfortable to be exposed to cold water for so long during such a cold day.
Qin Shu glanced at him and said that he was fine by himself, and that he could continue to watch movies.
Song Yunhui didn’t budge and said, “Two people can wash faster.”
It was indeed much faster for two people to wash the dishes.
After that, apart from handing things over, there was no place for Song Yunhui to intervene. In the end, he could only sit aside with Orange in his arms and watch Qin Shu cook.
Tonight, they had a jolly lamb soup.
After clearing away the dishes, Song Yunhui was still thinking about his animated movie and went back to lying down on the sofa with Orange in his arms.
Qin Shu went upstairs to take a shower and change clothes, and then went back downstairs while answering the phone.
When he passed by the living room, Song Yunhui turned around towards the noise and saw Qin Shu’s pajamas at a glance.
He gave a thumbs up and didn’t hesitate to praise him. “Looking good!”
When Orange heard what he said, he turned his head and glanced at Qin Shu.
His round eyes were full of curiosity.
After that, they heard the sound of the door opening.
There was an eerie silence at first, and then there was undisguised laughter.
The laughter lasted for a long time, and finally stopped for a while. The person who was laughing seemed to take a few breaths, and afterwards kept on laughing.
Song Yunhui stopped looking through movies and turned around just in time to see Qin Shu holding a couple of large and small bags in his hands while Ye Min and Qin Jianyuan walked behind him.
Ye Min’s hand was still touching the tip of Qin Shu’s dinosaur tail from time to time, and the smile in her eyes couldn’t be contained.
She had wanted to buy Qin Shu these kinds of clothes ever since he was a child, but even as a child, little Qin Shu developed a sense of appearance management and refused to wear them. She’d raised him up from childhood but had never realized her wish.
She never expected that it’d be achieved so easily today.
Sure enough, she could only count on Song Yunhui for this kind of thing.
Ye Min laughed so hard that she couldn’t breathe. Then, in the blink of an eye, she saw another dinosaur sitting on the couch. She trotted right over, her heart and eyes filled with the furry little thing in front of her.
It looked better up close.
She took advantage of the situation and sat down next to Song Yunhui, making a victory sign towards Qin Shu and Qin Jianyuan where Song Yunhui couldn’t see.
Qin Shu didn’t realize what she was so proud of until he noticed that Song Yunhui was sitting on a corner of the sofa, so there was only one spot next to him.
That one spot was now occupied by Ye Min.
Qin Shu “…”
Qin Jianyuan: “…”
The father and son fell into a brief silence at the same time.
Qin Jianyuan couldn’t bear it and turned his head slightly to adjust his mood.
Back in the car, right before they arrived, this woman was still talking about how to better bring their son and Yunhui together. Now, she turned around and started sitting next to Yunhui.
Ye Min didn’t feel any guilt for betraying her son. She sat next to Song Yunhui and asked with great interest, “I haven’t seen you for so long. Did you miss Auntie?”
In fact, they’d done a video call just this afternoon.
But Song Yunhui didn’t expose her and said, “I did.”
Ye Min was instantly happy.
It was a very simple sentence, but she smiled so happily, small wrinkles formed at the end of her eyes.
Song Yunhui was a little surprised, and a little confused.
Strictly speaking, this was the first time he’d come into contact with a female elder other than his own mother.
Gentle and enthusiastic, passionate for beauty, and with strong initiative. She never hid her emotions, and could be happy for a long time with just one sentence.
Since he didn’t have much experience with such people, he originally thought that he wouldn’t be good at getting along with them.
But after actually getting to experience it, he found that everything felt very natural.
It was so natural, it was almost as if this was how it should have been.
He had forgotten almost all of his childhood memories, but he felt that the future home he’d envisioned at that time might be something like this.
Very ordinary, nothing too crazy, but with daily greetings at every meal.
Song Yunhui was temporarily distracted. His eyes stayed fixed on a point in the void as he faced the TV.
Ye Min followed his gaze to the TV and saw the animated movie that he’d chosen but not yet started watching. She was a little surprised. “It turns out that Yun’zai also watches these movies.”
She said, “The little yellow Soybean in it is so cute! I’ve wanted to watch this movie for a while now, but I never had the time.”
Once she opened her mouth, there was no room for any change. Today’s family activity was quickly set to be watching this movie.
After saying that, she was a little thirsty, but she didn’t want to leave her Feng Shui throne. Ye Min used her eyes to cue Qin Shu or Qin Jianyuan in, it didn’t matter which one, to get her a glass of water.
As a result, Song Yunhui got the signal the fastest.
Ye Min didn’t look at him directly, but he’d always had the habit of holding a glass of hot water before watching a movie.
As he walked to the kitchen, he asked, “Does anyone want some water?”
Ye Min raised her hand while crying silently in her heart.
After Song Yunhui returned from getting water, his seat no longer belonged to him.
Qin Shu had already sat there very naturally, patting the seat next to him and saying, “Sit here.”
They were all sitting on the same sofa, so the position didn’t really matter. Song Yunhui simply sat down.
Now, the situation was reversed. Ye Min became the one farthest away from Song Yunhui.
In the end, she could only hold Orange to comfort herself.
The cake Qin Shu bought today was just right for watching movies, and they had exactly one slice for each person.
Little Soybean was a perfect movie for the whole family to watch together.
Song Yunhui was originally sitting, but then he slowly slid down and collapsed on the sofa. After watching for a while, he realized that his sitting position was uncomfortable, so he leaned for a moment, then laughed so hard that he fell backwards. Feeling the slight heat coming from behind his head, his brain instinctively found a comfortable angle for his head to rest.
After his previous attempts, his head had learned to find the right angle on its own.
Feeling a heavy weight on his shoulders, Qin Shu lowered his head and saw a dinosaur hood.
The movie wasn’t too long, only an hour and a half. After watching it, the whole group was still unsatisfied, so they ended up watching the Easter eggs as well.
Once they were done, they turned the lights back on.
As soon as the room lit up, there was no curtain of darkness to hide the remains of the cakes that lay on the table.
There seemed to be a sweet smell in the air.
She had just finished watching a movie, but she still felt like it wasn’t enough. Ye Min’s brain was still in a state of excitement. She glanced at the mutilated cake slices, then turned to look at Qin Shu.
“Do you have flour, butter and raw eggs at home?”
If he did, they could bake cupcakes!
Qin Shu glanced at Ye Min’s well-maintained hands and didn’t think the idea in her mind was feasible.
However, newbies were always attracted to each other.
Song Yunhui immediately expressed that he also wanted to bake cupcakes.
The memory of his last attempt to bake a cake was still there. Although he only made it that one time, he was inexplicably confident, feeling like he was a cake master.
The two hit it off immediately.
Finally, Qin Jianyuan was forced to join, and Qin Shu entered the kitchen in silence.
The kitchen was large, but there were four people standing there, and the knowledge of three of them only went as far as knowing that flour was needed to make cakes. The scene was almost out of control for a while.
But at least it was peaceful.
The one who ended up doing the icing for the cupcakes was Qin Jianyuan.
The other two weren’t very good, but their hands were still usable. Qin Shu managed to direct them step by step without any major problems, but when it came to Qin Jianyuan, it was impossible.
His hand moved like it was a newly installed prosthetic limb, and a badly fitted one at that.
Any operation that required quantities would go wrong in all kinds of ways when he was in charge.
Finally, Song Yunhui and Ye Min’s cupcakes were put into the oven to bake, while Qin Jianyuan was still trying to perform quantitative operations.
Three people and a cat watched him like this.
Finally, Qin Shu silently put Orange on the table.
Orange stepped on the scraps of butter that had fallen off to the side.
Qin Jianyuan was shocked. “How could a kitten touch these things?”
He picked up Orange and said, “I’ll take Orange to wash his paws, you guys keep going!”
The three people watched him leave.
Maybe this was what a man’s self-esteem looked like.
When Qin Jianyuan came back from washing Orange’s paws, the cupcakes were already out of the oven.
Very good, very fragrant, very… generally okay-looking. At least they weren’t overbaked.
The group of people gathered around the dining table to take some beautiful photos of the cupcakes, and then ate them together.
Once they were done eating, It was getting late. Although it wasn’t good to eat these things before going to bed, it was still late at night so they had to go to bed anyway.
Qin Jianyuan and Ye Min had a specific room they slept in whenever they came. Qin Shu helped them carry their suitcases into the room and closed the door. When he came out, he saw Song Yunhui still sitting on the sofa, tapping at his phone.
He was posting on Weibo.
Qin Shu came over just as he’d finished sending a post out.
Soon, the cell phone in his pocket rang.
【 AAA Eggs Wholesaler’s Cupcake Picture 】
The photo was very simple, and there was no special angle. In short, the shot was full of cupcakes, looking very tempting in the middle of the night.
Some corners of clothing could be seen in the picture, making it clear that there were more than two people present.
【 Let me first talk about how the missing person has returned 】
【 How could it be! It’s so late at night, again! Mr. Egg, you have no heart! 】
【 Feels like the table is different from before. Is it just my imagination? 】
【 Woooooooooo, it’s so late at night. He is indeed Mr. Egg 】
Qin Shu gave him a like and then put away his phone.
Song Yunhui glanced at the comments and put his phone in his pocket. With his face still hidden in his dinosaur hood, he yawned.
Qin Shu patted him and said, “Go upstairs and sleep. Don’t stay up late tonight.”
Song Yunhui nodded, then remembered something very important. He said, “Do you have any spare charger cables? Mine… something happened to it.”
Specifically, his cable fell to the ground while he wasn’t looking, so when he moved his chair, it flattened the cable under his weight
Qin Shu nodded. “I have one in my room.”
And so, the two dinosaurs went upstairs, and Song Yunhui followed Qin Shu into his room.
While Qin Shu was getting the charger cable from the cabinet, Song Yunhui stood by the desk while doing nothing.
As a result, his eyes moved around and he noticed a picture frame turned face down.
There was a letter clipped to the back of the frame, with some writing on it.
The handwriting was surprisingly familiar.
……After all, there’s no one that can’t recognize their own handwriting.
