- A Million People Hate Him for Wanting to Leave
- Chapter 30, part 2 - It's time to start being a working man!
The three of them went to a large shopping mall. The place Ye Min was most excited to visit was, surprisingly, a game arcade.
She originally wanted to go to the cinema, but Song Yunhui told her that “Departure” would be released during the Spring Festival, so it wouldn’t be out for at least another month and a half.
There weren’t any good movies to watch recently, so she chose to go to the arcade.
The reason was simple. She fell in love with a big teddy bear at the arcade that cost an incredible amount of tickets.
Song Yunhui glanced at the string of zeros on the price.
Finally, he silently rolled up his sleeves and took the basket of tokens Ye Min handed to him.
You could get tickets by playing any of the games. Realistically, the fastest way to get tickets was by getting plushies at the claw machine. Each plushie had a barcode. When taken to the machine to scan its code, you could get up to 300 tickets immediately.
While he sat there trying to get some plushies, Ye Min stood aside and watched. Eventually though, she seemed to see something that interested her, so she ran off to another place with a basket full of game tokens.
Today was a work day, but there were still many people in the arcade, mostly young tourists.
Song Yunhui lowered his head and buried his face in his scarf, only revealing a pair of eyes. He was staring so intently at the dolls in the machine that he didn’t notice the gazes coming from his side.
When the tokens in the basket were all gone and he raised his head again, he found that there were several groups of people gathered in one place, and it was obviously much livelier than anywhere else.
It seemed to be where the coin tower game was.
He took advantage of his height to look over while holding onto a plushie that practically reached his head when he held it. Then, he found that it was actually Ye Min in the middle of the crowd.
She took care of herself all year round, always putting on light makeup and wearing trendy clothes. At first glance, she completely looked like a young girl.
Qin Jianyuan was standing next to her, still holding her bag in his hand.
She was pushing the coin tower around, and hers was by far the biggest. Many people stopped playing their own games for the time being and chose to stand around and join in the fun.
Others couldn’t block Song Yunhui’s sight, but the plushie he was holding could.
Before he could figure out what was happening, he suddenly heard the crowd making noise and cursing.
He looked over and saw the tower of coins that had been standing there gradually collapse, the sound of its destruction drowned out by people’s roars.
Song Yunhui: “…”
If he remembered correctly, when they were exchanging for tokens, the staff told them that that coin tower was the biggest tower in the store. It had been there for a very long time, and it watched over and guarded the store.
His statement was somewhat exaggerated, but it still showed the tower’s invincibility.
Ye Min moved her eyes away from the game tokens and noticed a pile of plushies not far away. When Ye Min saw the person behind them, she waved happily, “Yun’zai! Look!”
She seemed perfectly happy and proud of herself.
Song Yunhui had no choice but to walk into the crowd and share the joy with her.
In the end, the result of managing to topple the coin tower was that Ye Min got the big bear she originally wanted.
The staff gave Song Yunhui a big bag to put the plushies in. There was no convenient way to hold the big bear, so Qin Jianyuan lugged it around without complaint.
For lunch, they found a Sichuan restaurant.
An old lady and an old man sitting at a neighboring table repeatedly praised Song Yunhui’s good looks after seeing him.
Ye Min wasn’t modest at all. She put her arms around Song Yunhui’s shoulders and smiled happily. “Our child is indeed good-looking.”
Song Yunhui smiled back.
The old lady then took out her cell phone and wanted to introduce her grandchildren to him.
Ye Min immediately waved her hand. “The child is still young.”
Inexplicably shrinking, Song Yunhui said nothing and ate quietly off to the side.

During lunch break, while the others left, Qin Shu sat in the lounge. He unlocked his phone and prepared to click on WeChat, but Weibo pushed a notification first.
It was a personal recommendation, and he thought he might as well click on it.
Then he looked at the accompanying picture. At that point, he definitely did click on it.
It was a life update posted by a netizen, but the title was very attractive. It said, 【 I’m so shocked! The coin tower in a local game arcade was knocked down after years! 】
The background of the picture was a colorful game arcade, and the person in the picture was very familiar.
It was Ms. Ye Min. She looked at the coin tower with great seriousness, as if she had become twenty years younger overnight.
The following comments were full of compliments, praising both her beauty and her skills, for being able to overturn a giant tower in one fell swoop.
Qin Shu: “…”
Now he wouldn’t need to ask how they played around this morning.
He originally wanted to close it, but his finger slid down instead. Instead of closing, he dragged the comment area further down.
There was another photo.
This time, it wasn’t Ye Min’s.
【 Just asking, does anyone know the contact information of this handsome guy in the photo?! I was too nervous to ask back then, and now I can’t find anything about him. [Picture] 】
The photo showed a person bending down and looking at the claw machine seriously.
He wore a black cap on his head, and a red scarf covered most of his face. The lights in the game room weren’t bright, and only the blurry side of his face could be seen.
However, even that little could show the basics of one’s appearance.
【 Help! I’m squatting down and begging for help 】
【 I saw him too! He looks just as good in reality (even though I could only see a little bit of his face)! I also noticed him today, but the handsome guy was probably with his parents at the time, so I didn’t dare to go up and ask for his number 】
【 This red scarf? 】
【 It’s not that one! There’s thousands of red scarves out there, so don’t take them all to be the same. Thank you 】
【 How can there be such a handsome person! Just one glance from him would kill me! 】
【 Why does he seem a bit familiar? 】
【 +1, even though I can’t recall [sit-ups.jpg] 】
Qin Shu silently saved the picture.
After saving the picture, a message notification popped up. Perhaps because he had just saved that picture, when he saw the familiar name, his fingers twitched unconsciously.
It was as if he had done something bad and had been discovered by the affected party.
Of course, Song Yunhui didn’t have the ability to see what Qin Shu had done through the Internet. The message he sent was very simple, only asking him if he’d gotten off work yet and if he was free now.
Qin Shu replied that he was free, so Song Yunhui sent him a video call.
The person on the other side smiled, seemingly very happy. “Surprise inspection! What are you up to?”
Qin Shu took a look at the person on the phone, circled the phone camera around the room, and said, “In the lounge.”
It was really like an inspection.
Song Yunhui still tilted his head at a forty-five-degree angle. His scarf covered almost his entire face, and only his eyelashes could be faintly seen.
Then, the scene changed as he took out the plushies one by one as if he was showing off. “I got them at the arcade today.”
Qin Shu nodded.
He had just seen it on Weibo.
Song Yunhui continued, “They’re beautiful and very soft to the touch, perfect for Orange.”
“I decided to put this little dinosaur in the living room.”
He took out two blue cats, pulled down his scarf, and finally revealed his face.
“These two are for Uncle Qin and Aunt Ye.”
Qin Shu quietly listened to what he was saying, looked at the raised corners of the other person’s mouth, and also smiled.

Song Yunhui, Ye Min and Qin Jianyuan spent a day playing in the city together and only went back home after dinner in the evening.
The result of a long day of shopping was that Ye Min and Qin Jianyuan took a shower and went to bed right after returning home.
Song Yunhui also went back to his room and took a shower, then put on his pajamas and went to bed.
As he sat on the bed with nothing to do, he looked at the time and found that it was the time period Eat Grass usually posted at. There was a chance for a new short comic, so he clicked on Weibo.
Once one enters Weibo, they can never come out again.
It wasn’t until an unknown number called him that he looked away from Weibo’s deep trenches.
Contrary to his expectations, what he heard was a sweet female voice.
“Hello, Mr. Soy Milk. I’m sorry for interrupting you late at night. I’m Yang He from the crew of “Return at Dusk”. I’m contacting you today to ask if you have the time to write a theme song recently?”
The other person said, “I heard from other teachers that you usually have more time in the evening, so I’m calling now.”
She must have inquired about his habits before making the call. The first sentence got straight to the point and stated the key points.
Song Yunhui got up, turned on his computer while chatting, and searched for “Return at Dusk”.
It was a movie, but there wasn’t much information about “Return at Dusk” on the Internet. All he could find was that it was a movie that told a more realistic story, approaching the tales of people at the bottom of society. The names of the lead actors weren’t very well known.
It seemed to be your typical low investment art film.
Yang He probably also knew that she didn’t have much to show, so she spoke very cautiously and carefully.
Logically speaking, based on the financial resources of their crew, they generally wouldn’t dare to find a songwriter as popular as Soy Milk. Especially after the release of “Homecoming”, the value of the other party’s songs had skyrocketed. Even though they knew there was little hope, the crew discussed it again and again, and finally decided to give it a try.
Surprisingly, the other party didn’t refuse directly. He even sounded interested once they started to discuss some details.
Before Soy Milk was fully convinced, Yang He lowered her voice slightly and said, “It’s like this. Our crew has limited funds, and most of it has been spent on equipment and scenery…”
She said the last few words very quietly.
“Ah.”
The person on the other side said in a clear and gentle voice, “Okay.”
He said it so casually, Yang He didn’t react. By the time she finally came to her senses, she stomped her feet, walking back and forth in her room in excitement.
It turns out that the one-second leak posted online wasn’t fake.
Who could listen to this voice and this cheerful attitude and not fall in love?!
Turning his computer off, Song Yunhui leaned back on his chair. He ran his fingers through his hair, and asked, “Is the time window tight?”
“Not tight, not tight.”
Yang He said repeatedly, “Our shooting cycle will still last a long time, it’s not tight at all.”
Song Yunhui stood up, took some paper, opened the cap of a nearby pen with one hand, and said, “Can you tell me what “Return at Dusk” wants to express, your basic needs, and the tone of the movie?”
“Of course. if you look at it from the perspective of the protagonist, at the bottom…”
A clear and organized voice came from the phone. Song Yunhui turned his head. Hearing a voice outside, he got up and walked to the balcony.
The balcony faced the road he usually walked on, and he happened to see Qin Shu going for a walk there.
He was tall, and his shadow was stretched by the light of the street lamp.
Half lying on the balcony, Song Yunhui waved at him.
Qin Shu turned his head and saw him at a glance.
He also waved before quickly walking to the door.
The figure on the road disappeared, so Song Yunhui walked back to his room and continued to talk on the phone.

When Qin Shu got home, he picked up Orange, who was waiting for him at the entrance, hung his clothes on the shelf, and put the things he’d bought in the refrigerator. Then, he saw Song Yunhui coming down the stairs.
The other person was holding a small dinosaur in his hand, which happened to be the dinosaur he mentioned during the phone call today.
He placed it next to the TV and carefully adjusted its position. Then, he turned to Qin Shu and said, “It looks good.”
Orange reached out and wanted to go towards Song Yunhui, but he was very clearly uninterested in the little dinosaur on the table.
He was a little kitten who only liked his dad and his little dad.
Song Yunhui took Orange, touched the kitten’s paw, and then said very casually, “I’m going to start working from tomorrow.”
“……”
Qin Shu: “Huh?”
Storyteller Cupsidate's Words
Song Yunhui's capacity for attracting dinosaur shaped cute little things should be studied.
