- Chapter 164 - All of You Stop! You're Now Surrounded by Heracles!
As Templar Knights continued to fall around Molay, intense flames ignited in his vicinity.
The confluence of Magical Energy formed blazing fire on his cruciform sword.
“Haahhh ——————!!!” Approaching Mordred swiftly, Molay swung his sword with all his might!
“Clangggg ——————!!”
Mordred met the strike head-on using Clarent!
The scorching heat stung Mordred continuously.
“Hmph, this is all you’ve got as the leader of the so-called Order of the Knights Templar? No wonder it fell under your command!”
Clarent erupted with immense Magical Energy from Mordred’s grasp.
Both combatants prepared for a decisive final blow!
Suddenly, something rapidly flew towards them and landed directly above their heads.
“Boom ————”!
Moments later, it exploded with immense force!!!
“Ha ha ha! Taking out enemies all at once is more my style. Although I’m not sure which one Jason referred to as the enemy, eliminating both should solve the problem.”
From atop a distant rock, Blackbeard gleefully observed the chaos below.
He had seized the opportunity amidst the confusion to toss several black powder bombs. Even if they didn’t kill the two combatants, surely it would temporarily incapacitate them?
“Swoosh ————!!!”
Suddenly, a streak of sword qi emerged from the smoke below, narrowly missing Blackbeard’s right shoulder and flying past him!
“Huh?!?” Shocked, Blackbeard stumbled backward.
Before he could fully comprehend what happened, something swiftly approached him from the sky.
“Choo-choo ————!!!”
Tonbi, moving at breakneck speed, dove directly towards the fallen Blackbeard!!!
“Aaahh, I don’t like these parrots at all! Wait, is that even a parrot?!?”
Quickly drawing his pistol from his waist, Blackbeard aimed and fired directly at Tonbi.
“Bang!”
With a slight tilt of its body, Tonbi effortlessly evaded the shot, its snow-white wings adorned with sharp air blades.
“Help me, Mary Read! Annie Bonny!” Blackbeard feigned terror and shouted loudly once again.
“—————————?!”
Suddenly sensing something amiss, Tonbi abandoned its attack mid-dive, flapped its wings, and soared back into the sky.
“Oh, didn’t expect that little bird to detect our presence.”
In a nearby thicket, a female pirate holding a long-barreled rifle exclaimed in surprise.
“Why not take a shot at that disgusting Blackbeard instead?” suggested a petite female pirate lying beside her.
“Mary, although I’d love to do that too, he’s just too damn resilient. Haven’t we tried multiple times already? He always returns in an even more disgusting state.”
“Exactly! Why must we fight alongside such a guy?”
The petite pirate sighed.
*Whoosh——!!*
Suddenly, a sense of imminent danger rapidly approached.
“Annie, watch out!”
The petite pirate swiftly pushed aside her companion with the rifle and then darted to the right herself.
A silver beam pierced through the spot where they had been standing moments ago.
“Thanks for saving me, Mary.”
“It seems enemy reinforcements have arrived; this opponent looks quite troublesome.”
The petite pirate helped the rifle-wielding one back onto her feet.
“But remember, we’re pirates destined to dominate the seven seas! This challenge is nothing we can’t handle!”
With mutual support, Mary Read and Anne Bonny joined the fray.
As they watched, Saint Johanna, wielding a silver Holy Cross, dramatically entered the battlefield.
“Are you alright, Mordred?” Johanna asked, planting her silver holy staff into the ground to create a brief defensive Bounded Field.
“Of course! Who do you think I am?!” Mordred replied confidently, lowering Clarent.
“But their reliance on sneak attacks is quite disappointing.”
In Mordred’s line of sight, Molay, wielding his crusader shield and sword, repositioned himself and turned towards them.
“Pip-pip!”
Tonbi returned from the sky to perch on Johanna’s shoulder, informing her about the precise locations of nearby ambushers.
“Well then, leave defense to me while you focus on fighting, Mordred.”
The silver holy staff emitted a faint glow, enveloping Mordred and replenishing some of her Magical Energy.
“Oh, I would have done that anyway, even without your reminder.”
Gripping Clarent firmly, Mordred charged once more towards Molay.
“Shine brilliantly!”
Several silver crescent moons materialized around Johanna and swiftly darted towards Mary and Annie hiding in the grass!
Realizing their predicament, Mary and Annie retreated while searching for an opportunity to counter.
“It seems we’ve been discovered, Mary.”
“I’ll find a chance to distract them; you look for openings to continue firing.”
“Understood!”
The petite Mary deflected the crescent moons with her mismatchingly large scimitar, seizing the moment. Annie, crouching down, aimed her gun at Johanna and promptly pulled the trigger!
“BANG—————!”
A bullet rapidly flew towards Johanna!
“Pop!”
Just about one meter before reaching Johanna, the bullet emitted a small explosion and vanished abruptly.
Having confirmed the enemy’s position, Tonbi perched on Johanna’s shoulder immediately took flight.
“Tonbi, please help!”
“Pipiiiiii!”
Tonbi locked onto Annie below and dove once more.
“Mary Read and Anne Bonny, fear not, I am here to save you!” Blackbeard suddenly leaped off the rock, aiming for a heroic rescue act.
Unexpectedly, Mary swiftly kicked him in the rear.
“Huh—?!”
Caught off balance, Blackbeard stumbled forward directly into Tonbi’s path as it swooped down.
Tonbi flapped its wings, emitting a dazzling silver glow!!
“Why, Mary Read?! Aaaaaahhh—” Blackbeard screamed in pain.
As his cries echoed, Mary calmly clapped her hands.
“Well done, that takes care of one.”
“Oh dear, Mary, wasn’t Blackbeard supposed to be on our side? Not an enemy,” Annie remarked with a smile.
Annie smiled and commented.
“Is that so? Oh well, I doubt he’s going down that easily anyway.”
Mary turned her attention to another part of the battlefield where two Sabers were fiercely clashing.
*Clang, clang, clang—!!!*
Mordred intensified her onslaught even further, striking Molay’s crusader shield with Clarent forcefully.
“What’s wrong, what’s wrong?! Where did all your earlier bravado go?!”
While calmly blocking Mordred’s attacks with his shield, Molay sought an opportunity for counterattack.
“Hah!” Behind Molay, a fully armored Templar Knight swung his shield directly at Mordred.
“Don’t get in my way, scum!”
With one swift strike, Mordred cut the knight down, but Molay’s cruciform sword was already thrusting towards her.
“Clang—!!”
Mordred horizontally positioned Clarent, deflecting the incoming attack.
“Hey, hey, hey, is this how your Order of the Knights Templar wins battles – through sneak attacks? Perhaps you should drop the ‘Knights’ part altogether and rename yourselves as the Assassin Alliance?”
“Do not dare to insult our noble Order’s mission!” Molay, enraged, swung his sword forcefully.
“I reformed the corrupt and complacent Knight Order, becoming its Grandmaster! What I strive for is an Order that lives up to the people’s expectations. Even if I fail, I will not allow you to mock my ideals!”
A blazing inferno ignited on Molay’s cruciform sword, forcing Mordred to retreat involuntarily by a step.
“All talk, just another smooth-talker.” Mordred once again channeled Magical Energy into Clarent.
“Crimson Thunder!!”
Scarlet lightning crackled across her armor as Mordred thrust the blade forward with both hands.
“It’s about time you fell, traitor!!!”
Suddenly, an immense surge of Magical Energy hurtled towards Mordred and Molay from afar!
“Unbreakable, steadfast, and unwavering. My spear pierces all obstacles! Sweep them away, Durlindana Pilum!!”
“Huh?!?”
Still pursuing Mary and Annie, Johanna sensed something amiss instantly and swiftly swung her silver holy staff forward.
In the next moment, this radiant beam pierced through Molay’s right shoulder from behind, simultaneously striking Mordred as well!
“BOOM!”
A massive sound echoed across the battlefield!
At a distance, a man maintaining his javelin-throwing stance scratched his head.
“Well, didn’t expect to miss like that. Truly deserving of being called a rebellious knight, I see.”
Upon looking back at the battlefield, where the two Sabers had just clashed, a large crater now appeared!
As if struck by an immensely powerful force, cracks radiated outward from the pit.
“Gah…” Holding onto his severely wounded arm with a gaping hole, Molay gritted his teeth, refusing to collapse.
“Huff…huff…”
On the opposite side, Mordred also thrust Clarent into the ground, maintaining her battle stance.
“Mordred!”
Instantly, Johanna rushed over to assess Mordred’s injuries.
The armor on her left arm and shoulder was completely shattered, revealing deep wounds beneath, from which copious amounts of bright red blood flowed freely.
“How severe…”
As soon as Johanna detected the incoming attack, she swiftly erected a triple-layered defensive Bounded Field in front of Mordred. However, the opponent effortlessly pierced through it, striking Mordred directly!
If not for Mordred’s instinctive evasive action at the last moment, she likely would have suffered similar grave injuries like the other Saber.
“Hold on, I’ll heal you now.”
Johanna immediately began chanting incantations.
“Radiant Love, manifest here!”
A gentle glow emanated from the silver holy staff, and as the light touched Mordred’s wounds, they gradually started healing.
“Going so far as to eliminate your own allies…”
Mordred’s gaze remained fixed on the source of the murderous intent ahead.
“How long will you hide? Show yourself, you heretic!”
“Well, being called a ‘heretic’ by such a renowned Rebel Knight…” A man emerged from behind the rock wall, scratching his head. “Honestly, it hurts my feelings, old chap.”
Hector’s face came into view for all present.
“Why…would you go this far…? Aren’t we comrades?” Molay, clutching his nearly useless left arm, turned incredulously towards Hector.
“My apologies, but I concluded that this was the only way to take down that rebel knight,” Hector replied with a grin. “Unfortunately, even then, I failed to eliminate him—a miscalculation indeed.”
“But no matter, Jason-sama has ordered a full encirclement here. You can rest for now.” Hector extended his hand, and once again, a long spear materialized in his grasp. “Well then, let me contribute a bit more, old chap.”
“Aiya, that damn bird! How dare it scratch my face, ah, so painful. This needs to be dealt with swiftly; Medea-chan must heal me immediately~~~” Blackbeard angrily charged forward, shouting at Tonbi soaring overhead.
“Oh, isn’t it Lord Blackbeard? I heard you even lost your ship yesterday?” Hector looked at Blackbeard with a grin.
“So what? A pirate’s life is full of ups and downs!” Blackbeard remained unfazed by the taunt.
“More importantly, you’re willing to involve your comrades just for victory. You truly are a fearsome individual.”
“Well, Jason-sama’s orders were merely to eliminate them. Uncle here was simply executing the optimal plan.” Hector shrugged nonchalantly.
“Hmph, don’t think you can steal my credit. Besides, I still want some intimate time with Medea-chan, oh-so-intimate~~ My little Medea-chan~~” Blackbeard embraced himself dramatically, wriggling excitedly on the spot.
“I see you’re still alive.”
“You sure are tough; should I finish you off?” Mary and Annie also emerged from afar.
“Getting scolded isn’t so bad, but let’s discuss rewards later.” Blackbeard raised his pistol, aiming at Mordred and Johanna ahead of him.
“In any case, you two are surrounded! Surrender immediately!”
“Mordred…”
Johanna tightly gripped her silver holy staff, wary of the numerous Servants before them.
“How laughable! Do you really think numbers alone can overpower me?!” Mordred once again lifted Clarent.
“Just watch as I take all of you down single-handedly!”
Suddenly, a massive figure descended from the sky.
“BOOM——!!”
Both sides looked up to find a towering man wielding an axe-sword and carrying a large bow appearing dramatically on the battlefield!
