I Bind With NP System After Being Abandoned by the 1V1 System - Chapter 29
As Meng Yun was being pushed out, he was clutching the bedsheets that Jiang Zhi had stuffed into his arms.
She didn’t dare to keep this kind of evidence for a moment, and had firmly instructed him to take them far away and destroy them.
However, it was clear that he hadn’t paid much attention. From the bedroom to the door, he clung to her like a magnet, refusing to leave despite no matter how hard she tried to push him away. It wasn’t until she was about to close the door that he finally spoke up, “So, Jiejie, do you want me to be your secret lover in the shadows?”
“And what if I do? You can break up with me if you want; I’m fine with that.”
Knowing Meng Yun’s thoughts well, she decided to play it cool and indifferent.
“You!”
Looking like a scorned little wife, he pouted, stared at the floor, and stormed off into the elevator in a huff.
Worried that things might have gone too far, she quickly asked the system, “He didn’t run away, right? Check for me, please.”
System: “Don’t worry, Miss Jiang Zhi. He’s just jealous. He hasn’t left as a mark.”
“Good, I can’t do it anymore. I need to lie down for a bit. Youth has its perks, but my back is killing me,”
But she was very happy. Meng Yun had climaxed three times in the span of a couple of hours, and she had managed to regain the 600 points she had spent earlier that morning.
As she supported her aching back and made her way to the bedroom, a sudden crash of breaking glass from the balcony caught her attention.
Afraid that the dog might have hurt itself, she quickly pulled back the curtains to check.
As soon as she appeared, the agitated dog immediately calmed down, sitting on the floor with its tongue out, panting and avoiding eye contact.
Two vases had been knocked over from the shelf, leaving shattered glass and water splashed all over the floor.
“Ah! You bad dog!”
She opened the balcony door, carefully ushered the dog out, and then cleaned up the mess.
Throughout the entire time, the Alaskan Malamute followed her around like a shadow, its silly grin making it impossible for her to scold it harshly.
Once everything was cleaned up, she returned to the sofa, where the dog promptly jumped up and lay across her lap.
“I haven’t given you a name yet,” she mused.
If it were just an ordinary dog, any name would do, but this was a dog that could transform into a human, so the name had to be special.
“Oh well, you arrived on the seventeenth, so I’ll call you Shi Qi for now. How about that?”
“Woo woo…”
It responded with a low whine, acknowledging her.
As she stroked its soft fur, her hand travelled from its head down to its tail. Suddenly, she remembered the events of the previous day, and a tinge of awkward curiosity arose within her.
She hadn’t really taken a close look at the dog’s anatomy yet, and she wondered whether it looked… normal.
“Woof!”
A sudden bark snapped her back to reality. For some reason, the dog had become excited, jumping around on the sofa.
Not having the energy to play, she remembered that she needed to get some sleep. Just as she was about to head to bed, her phone rang.
She picked it up and saw that it was Cheng Huai’s agent.
As soon as she answered, the agent’s frantic voice came through the earpiece: “Oh my goodness, where have you been? Cheng Huai needs to rehearse with you! If he’s not in the right state, the entire production schedule will be affected! Please come back, we’ll pay you whatever it takes!”
Jiang Zhi rolled her eyes, finding it hard to believe the exaggerated urgency in the agent’s words. Cheng Huai was a renowned actor, famous for his skill. If he truly couldn’t film without her, how had he managed to pull off all his previous works?
However, she decided not to argue. She was still getting to know Cheng Huai and didn’t want to jeopardize her progress with him. Reluctantly, she agreed to the agent’s request, gave the dog a quick pat to keep it calm, hurriedly changed her clothes, and rushed off to the set.
In her haste, she failed to notice that, as she turned away, Shi Qi had briefly transformed into human form for a few seconds.
On the way, she received the day’s shooting script, and after carefully reading through it, she was sure that more points were within her reach.
Upon arriving on set, she realized that the agent’s concerns hadn’t been as exaggerated as she had initially thought.
