I Don’t Want To Be A Villain - Chapter 27 Part 1
When he got home at night, Tang Mingxi took out the sapphire brooch from his bedroom. He stood on the stairs and casually threw it down.
Ye Heng walked past and caught it.
The velvet box was exquisitely made. Tang Mingxi said, “A birthday present for you.”
There was a sapphire brooch in the box. Ye Heng lowered his eyes and looked at it for a while. He remembered what he heard in Baiyang Private Kitchen today.
Before He Ling returned to China, Tang Mingxi seemed to have picked a present for him.
“Is this for me alone?”
Nonsense, It cost me more than 20 million.
Tang Mingxi felt his heart ache when he thought about it.
“Don’t tell me you don’t like it.” He looked at Ye Heng warily.
There was a kind of arrogance that said, “Don’t you dare say you don’t like it.”
Ye Heng looked at him. Tang Mingxi suddenly went downstairs and pretended to take the present back from him.
“If you don’t like it, give it back to me!”
So angry.
Ye Heng raised his hand and Tang Mingxi grabbed nothing.
Tang Mingxi, who did not have any advantage in height, could only tiptoe to grab the velvet box. He was almost hanging onto Ye Heng.
Although Tang Mingxi was light, he pounced with a lot of strength.
Ye Heng took half a step back. In order to maintain his balance, he put his right hand across Tang Mingxi’s waist and held him.
“Tang Mingxi, I need to remind you that today is my 18th birthday.” Ye Heng held him down with one hand, but Tang Mingxi was wearing nude ice silk pajamas. His cold body rubbed against Ye Heng’s body, causing Ye Heng to let out a “tsk” sound.
“So what if it’s your 18th birthday? I’m three years older than you. Don’t you know what it means to respect the old and love the young?” Tang Mingxi did not understand the meaning behind Ye Heng’s words at all. He glared at him and criticized him.
“Are you very old?” Ye Heng raised his eyebrows.
“That’s why I’m asking you to love the young.” Tang Mingxi retorted confidently.
“What I mean is.” Ye Heng exerted some strength in his arm. Tang Mingxi lost his balance and fell forward, bumping into the young man’s hot chest.
Then he heard Ye Heng add coldly, “I’m an adult.”
…
…
Unbelievably, Ye Heng had just flirted with him.
Tang Mingxi never thought that there would be a day when he would be teased by the male lead.
Ye Heng’s words circled endlessly within his mind, like a brainwashing chant, electrifying him from the inside out.
After watching Tang Mingxi return to his bedroom as if he had been struck by lightning, Ye Heng took out his phone and scrolled through his WeChat Moments.
He realised that Tang Mingxi still hadn’t sent any photos.
How could he not post a photo of this delicate vase who would make a fuss about nothing in his circle of friends?
Ye Heng found it a little strange. He switched back to the chat page and organised his words to send it over.
Just as he switched back to the chat, a large red exclamation mark entered his eyes.
Ye Heng finally remembered that Tang Mingxi had blocked him.
Ever since Ye Heng had reminded Tang Mingxi that he was an adult, other than the awkwardness of being teased, Tang Mingxi had also been suppressing a faint sense of anxiety.
He remembered that in the original novel, Ye Heng returned to Yunjing less than a month after he turned 18.
What followed next was a plot in which he avenges his previous humiliation by returning to the Tang family and chopping Tang Mingxi into pieces.
Tang Mingxi thought that compared to the original owner of the body, he had never offended the male lead.
But what if the male lead is the kind of person who holds grudges?
Time was running out.
He had to hurry up and prepare to go abroad.
Tang Mingxi went to the private swimming pool more frequently. As long as he wasn’t at home, he would go to the swimming pool.
In order to prevent the Tang family from finding out his spending records at the swimming pool, Tang Mingxi even opened a new card and registered it under a high-end massage parlour, making sure nothing went wrong.
Half a month had passed since He Ling came back to China. Tang Mingxi had long forgotten about this person.
The next day, Wang Min’s first love in college suddenly came back from abroad and held an art exhibition in China. Tang Mingxi received an invitation from Wang Min who asked if he was free on Saturday afternoon to organise a party.
At first, Tang Mingxi was not very willing to go, not only did he not understand art exhibitions, but he also had to walk around the gallery all the time. It was so tiring.
Of course, the most important thing was that Tang Mingxi had a group of plastic friends wherever he went.
They would swarm him as soon as they saw him and buzz in his ear until it gave him a headache.
Wang Min’s messages came like bombs:
[I get angry just thinking about it. What does this little green tea know about art? Isn’t she just using her family’s money to show off?]
[She even sent me an invitation. If I don’t go and suppress her, I’ll write ‘Wang’ upside down!]
Tang Mingxi: [Wang is still Wang, even if you write it upside down.]
(Wang is 王 in chinese)
Wang Min: [.]
Wang Min pestered him on WeChat for a long time. In the end, Tang Mingxi couldn’t resist her sugar-coated attacks and agreed to go to the art exhibition.
Another week later, it was the day of the art exhibition.
At the entrance of Zhongshan Road Art Gallery, Wang Min wore a smoky pink ankle-length dress. Every strand of her hair was carefully styled. She carried a Hermes Birkin Platinum bag, a ten-carat pink diamond ring, and a 12-centimeter pink Jimmy Choo heels. She walked up gracefully and held Tang Mingxi’s hand.
Tang Mingxi felt that something was wrong. He wanted to say that men and women shouldn’t touch each other casually, but Wang Min didn’t see him as a man at all.
She grumbled in his ear for a while and then looked at Tang Mingxi’s face enviously.
“What brand of foundation did you use? It doesn’t even look like you’re wearing any makeup?”
“I found a beautiful starry sky themed café last time I went shopping, when do you have time to go check it out?”
“Ask your husband to drive us there.”
Forget it, I’m tired. Let’s just destroy the world already.
After half a year of training, Tang Mingxi was very familiar with this kind of gathering of rich second-generation.
He first dealt with a group of plastic friends who surrounded him as soon as they saw him. After enjoying a round of flattery, the owner of the art gallery, Anni, came over and held Tang Mingxi’s hand, pretending to be intimate.
Wang Min rolled her eyes. It was as if every pore on her body was saying, “I’ll tear you apart right now, you little b*tch.”
“Honey, I’m Anni. I’ve heard of you when I was studying abroad. It’s true that seeing you is better than hearing about you a hundred times. You look even more handsome in person than in photos.”
Tang Mingxi shook hands with her politely. However, because he was on Wang Min’s side, he was very cold to Anni’s goodwill.
Wang Min laughed bitterly. “Zhang Hongyan, how did going overseas for studies make you forget about your roots? Are you addicted to foreign words? Do you really think that you are a British citizen in China? Why don’t you change your northeastern accent first? ”
After she finished speaking, she flipped her hair behind her ear, revealing a ten-carat pink diamond.
It almost blinded Anni’s eyes.
Anni, oh no, Zhang Hongyan’s mouth twitched, and the veins on her forehead bulged out.
She had to admit that women knew what women cared about. She hated it when people mentioned her origins, but Wang Min, this b*tch, stepped on her sore spot.
When enemies met, their eyes would turn red.
A battle of words was inevitable.
Tang Mingxi left the woman’s battlefield and quietly floated to the side to look at the paintings.
Although Anni was a fake foreign ghost artist, he had to admit that her work did look quite authentic.
There were many works hanging on the wall. Replicas of classic works by Monet, Van Gogh, and Paul could be found in the gallery.
For a rich second-generation art exhibition like this, they invited people in the industry and earned money from them.
After the exhibition, there would be a small auction. Anyone who had a number tag could participate in the auction.
