Three-and-a-Half-Year-Old Quick Transmigrator: The Sweet and Soft Little Milk Bun is Everyone's Favourite - Chapter 81
Zhongli Shuang changed in ways that she herself didn’t realise. However, these changes in her were noticed by those around her. Conflict existed wherever people existed, even among the women of Jueqing Palace, who stuck together to survive in this world.
Zhongli Shuang was reported for associating herself with a man. When Zhongli Shuang found out about this, she became shocked and afraid. However, she still clung to Fang Xing and was willing to flee with him to the ends of the earth.
Fang Xing had already had his suspicions that Zhongli Shuang might be from Jueqing Palace. However, his heart still sank when he received confirmation of his suspicions.
Nonetheless, he gritted his teeth and brought Zhongli Shuang to run away with him. Together, they evaded the pursuit of Jueqing Palace.
Living while being hunted was undoubtedly difficult. They could never stay in one place for too long, and they always looked their part as hunted dogs with their always dishevelled appearances. Despite the feelings they had between them, they still couldn’t withstand the harsh reality of living while being constantly pursued.
Zhongli Shuang had to leave Jueqing Palace and was pursued by her own master. Her life, at that point, depended on Fang Xing. However, Fang Xing was growing increasingly weary of the situation and the light in his eyes slowly faded. He was left only with exhaustion and unspoken resentment.
Finally, when they were once again cornered by members of the Jueqing Palace, Fang Xing felt that it was time to end their relationship. He knelt before Zhongli Shuang. He told her that he was an incompetent man who couldn’t provide her with anything, and thus had decided to part ways with her.
Men, indeed, were not to be trusted.
Zhongli Shuang, who had tasted love for the first time in her life, felt betrayed. She couldn’t accept that she had fallen in love with such a weak, cowardly man.
Meanwhile, Jueqing Palace gave her an opportunity. If she killed Fang Xing, she would be accepted back into the sect.
Zhongli Shuang, however, hesitated. She couldn’t kill Fang Xing. While she was still hesitating, Fang Xing was rescued by his family. Meanwhile, Zhongli Shuang was taken back to Jueqing Palace to receive her punishment.
After narrowly surviving her punishment, Zhongli Shuang received shocking news. Fang Xing was actually getting married to his junior sister, Cui Lengxiang! Zhongli Shuang couldn’t accept it and stormed their wedding.
However, Fang Xing informed her that they were finished because they were incompatible and because Jueqing Palace was a barrier that they couldn’t surmount. He wanted to start a new life now and asked Zhongli Shuang not to disturb his marriage with Cui Lengxiang.
Enraged and driven mad by anger, Zhongli Shuang went berserk. She killed many who attended the wedding. This further distanced her from Fang Xing.
Even after that, Zhongli Shuang silently observed Fang Xing and his wife, Cui Lengxiang. She watched as they treated each other with respect and mutual affection. She became consumed with jealousy, especially after Cui Lengxiang became pregnant.
Her jealousy reached its peak when Cui Lengxiang gave birth to her first child. After Cui Lengxiang gave birth to her child, Zhongli Shuang stole the child and switched her with a dead infant. Then, she brought the child back to Jueqing Palace.
When she saw the couple find the body of ‘their child’ and suffer immense grief, Zhongli Shuang felt immense satisfaction.
Each time she looked at the baby she’d taken, she’d look at her with disgust. Bit by bit, she fed the baby with poison. Each time, the baby would get a fever and suffer.
Once the child could crawl, she kept it locked in a cage with minimal space to move.
Zhongli Shuang claimed to be her mother. However, she treated her cruelly. While she would sometimes show a hint of warmth towards her, most of the time, she berated the baby and cursed the baby’s mother for taking Fang Xing from her.
As such, Zhongli Feiyan—the child, grew up immersed in venom. She was tormented both physically and emotionally. Thanks to the education given to her by the Jueqing Palace, Zhongli Feiyan grew up into a poisonous, foolish, and narrow-minded person.
Perhaps because of the repeated poisoning and high fevers that Zhongli Feiyan suffered when she was a child, she grew up a little crazy and emotionally unstable. She regarded her biological parents as enemies and wouldn’t listen to reason.
Later, Zhongli Feiyan fell in love with a man, who happened to be the fiancé of her biological sister. Over this man, the two sisters fought each other to the death and embarked on the road of mutual destruction.
This was exactly what Zhongli Shuang wanted. She watched them—father and daughter, mother and daughter, sisters—fight against each other to the death. She watched them be in pain and despair. Throughout it all, she felt extremely happy. She wanted to make them suffer to pay for the pain they’d caused to her.
“The original host, Zhongli Feiyan, felt too much pain. She doesn’t want to endure such pain. She doesn’t want to be in a cage, and wants to live under the sun.”

The system: ‘…’
The two of them went quiet for a while. After that, the system asked, “Do you understand what I told you?”
Nanzhi grabbed the iron railing of the cage and pulled it. It remained motionless. She said, “Brother, I can’t get out. There’s nothing I can do here.
“Brother, are there no police here? Can’t we report Zhongli Shuang for child abuse?” Nanzhi asked.
“No. This is a wuxia world, where everyone practises martial arts and works to be the strongest. Here, everyone tries to be a peerless, supreme master of martial arts.”
In confusion, Nanzhi answered, “So no one manages them, then? They can just do whatever they want?”
“The wuxia world has its own system. Overall, the survival of the fittest principle applies here. Everyone in this world lives in pursuit of power.
“So, what do you think about this task?” the system asked.
Children’s thoughts differed from that of grown-ups. The system wanted to know what a child would do in such a situation.
In a low voice, Nanzhi said, “Brother, you lied to me. You lied to a child. How could you lie to a child?”
“When did I lie to you? I chose a world where you can just wait for someone to give you food and drinks, and you can indeed complete this task while just lying down.”
Nanzhi: ‘…’
He was so annoying. He was going to make her, the most adorable little baby in the world, explode from anger. Did it make him happy to do that?
Nanzhi sighed. She wanted to grab her hair in frustration, but all she found were soft strands that she couldn’t grasp.
Nanzhi was shocked. She panickedly asked, “Brother! Brother, do I not have hair!?”
As she spoke, she continued to feel around her head. She looked like an adult who’d suddenly go bald.
Geez, why was Brother System taking so long to respond? Was he trying to lay an egg or something?
Helplessly, the system said, “Yes. It’s because you’re still very young but have been repeatedly poisoned. If you grow up well with proper nourishment, your hair will grow back. Don’t worry.”
“Oh!” Nanzhi patted over her heart. “That scared me nearly to death.”
Squeak…
The door opened. A figure flew into the room against the light outside. Nanzhi stared blankly at the person, who lightly landed on her feet in front of the cage.
“Woah. Brother, Brother! Look at that! She can fly!” Nanzhi shouted at the system with great excitement. Her face was flushed from surprise.
“People who know martial arts here have internal energy[1], and they can use it to fly,” the system explained.
Wow. That was amazing!
“Come here,” the woman said. Her voice was cold, as cold as eternal ice and snow on top of very high mountains. It would make anyone who heard her voice shiver.
Seeing the child lean against her cage and not coming over, the woman’s expression became even colder. Once again, she said, “Come here.”
Nanzhi hesitantly walked up to the woman. Zhongli Shuang looked down at the child, who was still in the cage, with cold eyes.
She was dirty. Her skin was yellow, and she had sparse hair stuck to her scalp. Her face was also covered with dirt and other filth.
Zhongli Shuang’s eyes were filled with disgust. She stretched out her hand towards Nanzhi, but Nanzhi immediately backed away.
